Stellantis and Mistral AI are deepening their strategic collaboration to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) in various areas, from automotive engineering to onboard experiences.
The two companies are jointly exploring the development of an AI-powered automotive assistant that allows drivers to interact with their vehicles using natural language.
The assistant functions as a real-time user manual, activated by voice, enabling users to ask questions about the vehicle’s features, troubleshooting, or warning indicators and receive immediate guidance through a natural and conversational interaction.
In a statement, Stellantis noted that this new assistant will be continuously updated and adapted to the brands and models of the automotive group to provide a seamless and intuitive experience.
In addition to the automotive assistant, Stellantis and Mistral AI are also exploring various AI-based initiatives to enhance data analysis, streamline development, and improve customer interaction.
“There are many stakeholders in the AI space, and we are particularly pleased with the partnership with Mistral AI for its strong ability to adapt quickly and generate significant results in a highly collaborative manner”, said Ned Curic, Director of Engineering and Technology at Stellantis. “Together, we are exploring the potential of AI in various domains to enhance our product development, customer experience, and provide real benefits.”
