Stefano Domenicali reveals bold vision for F1’s cultural takeover in America with Apple TV partnership

F1’s Bold Leap into American Culture: Stefano Domenicali Unveils Vision with Apple TV Partnership

In a stunning revelation that could reshape the landscape of motorsport in the United States, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has unveiled an ambitious vision for 2026 as the iconic racing series partners with none other than Apple TV. This groundbreaking alliance is set to revolutionize how American audiences engage with the high-octane world of F1, marking a pivotal moment in the sport’s trajectory across the pond.

Starting in 2026, Apple TV will take the reins as the exclusive U.S. broadcast partner for Formula 1, replacing ESPN and ushering in a new era of accessibility and engagement for fans. During a press conference in Los Angeles with Apple’s senior vice president of services, Eddy Cue, Domenicali made it abundantly clear: the goal is to embed Formula 1 deeply into the American cultural fabric.

“This is not just a partnership; it’s a mission,” Domenicali declared passionately. “We aspire to make F1 a household name in the U.S. just like the Super Bowl, NBA, or MLS. It’s about respect for American sports culture while igniting a fervor for our sport.”

Domenicali emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This is a beautiful opportunity that we’re going to pursue with passion and determination. Our commitment is not merely a dream; it’s an obligation to develop the sport and ensure that F1 becomes an integral part of everyday conversations in America.”

The excitement surrounding this partnership is further amplified by the recent success of the Apple Original Films production, which features a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton, who also served as an executive producer. The film, which showcases the thrilling world of Formula 1, has already grossed over $630 million globally since its release in June 2025, and its momentum continues as it garners accolades during awards season. Notably, it recently secured a GRAMMY for Chris Stapleton’s electrifying track, “Bad As I Used to Be,” featured in the film’s soundtrack.

As Formula 1 prepares to embark on this monumental journey with Apple TV, the excitement is palpable. The stakes have never been higher, and the future of F1 in America is poised for explosive growth. With Domenicali at the helm, the sport is not just dreaming of a bright future but is actively crafting it, aiming to captivate American fans and solidify its place in the pantheon of beloved sports.

Get ready, America! The roar of the engines and the thrill of the race are about to become part of your cultural landscape in ways you’ve never imagined. The countdown to 2026 has begun, and it’s shaping up to be a game-changer for Formula 1.
