Stefano Domenicali Hails Lewis Hamilton: Unleashing the Champion Within Amidst Turmoil

Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Formula 1, has thrown his support behind Lewis Hamilton, labeling the seven-time world champion as a “gem” despite his struggles at Ferrari. Since departing from Mercedes, where he clinched six out of his seven world titles, Hamilton has faced an uphill battle, managing just one podium finish in a Sprint race while his teammate Charles Leclerc has secured five.

Hamilton’s lowest point came in Hungary, where he qualified and finished in 12th place – one of only four times he has finished outside the top 10 since 2022. Domenicali, a former Ferrari team principal, remains confident in Hamilton’s ability to secure an eighth record-breaking world title and has urged the team to stand by him, predicting a strong comeback post-summer break.

“Lewis is a gem, an incredible athlete,” Domenicali expressed to Sky Sports F1. “So, even though he is going through a tough time, he will bounce back, and I am sure he will show why he is here. He wants to clinch his eighth title and he will triumph once again. So, stick with Lewis, and he will have a great race and come back very, very strong after the summer season.”
