Stefano Domenicali Defends Vasseur Amid Controversy

In a shocking turn of events, the President of Formula 1 and former Ferrari team principal has come out in fierce defense of French manager Vasseur, sending shockwaves through the racing world. The recent clash between the Ferrari team principal and a section of the Italian press has ignited a firestorm of controversy.

A French journalist revealed an intriguing behind-the-scenes story about Vasseur’s unorthodox approach upon joining Ferrari in January 2023. It was reported that Vasseur decided to cease the daily internal press review that monitored discussions and articles about Ferrari. Despite his efforts to shield himself from external pressures, recent reports have evidently made their way to his desk, prompting a response in Montreal.

Stefano Domenicali, the current F1 President and former Ferrari team principal, granted an exclusive interview to L’Equipe, offering a prestigious defense of the head of the Prancing Horse’s pit wall. Domenicali vehemently stated, “Leave Frederic Vasseur alone. He is doing an excellent job and must remain focused on his goal. He must disconnect from external pressures.” In a show of unwavering support, Domenicali imparted valuable advice to Vasseur, declaring, “I told him, and I say it officially: I believe in him. He must not fall into the trap of weakening in the face of these attacks because they will always exist. Only then will Ferrari return to the top.”

The unexpected show of solidarity from Domenicali has added fuel to the already blazing feud, leaving fans and pundits alike eager to see how this saga unfolds in the high-octane world of Formula 1.
