The world of high-speed racing is gearing up for a unique fusion of technology, sports, and entertainment, as the line-up for the much-anticipated Evo Sessions by Formula E is finally unveiled. This groundbreaking event, set to transpire at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium later this week, will witness eleven renowned figures from the media and entertainment industry going full throttle in Formula E race cars.
The participating celebrities have been meticulously matched with Formula E’s elite racing teams and drivers, immersing themselves in intense training sessions leading up to the event scheduled for March 5-6. The concept behind this non-competitive event is to provide an insider’s view into the challenging journey of a top-tier racing driver, while simultaneously offering fans an unprecedented experience.
In a thrilling revelation, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, the first participant confirmed for the Evo Sessions, will team up with Jaguar TCS Racing under the mentorship of Mitch Evans. On the other hand, former international football icon Sergio Aguero has been placed with TAG Heuer Porsche, with Pascal Wehrlein – Evans’ rival for the 2023-24 title – as his coach.
The line-up brims with other noteworthy figures, including actress and record-setting car builder Emelia Hartford who will pair with Maserati MSG Racing under Stoffel Vandoorne’s guidance. Vinnie Hacker, the American creative, will collaborate with DS Penske team and receive coaching from Maximillian Guenther.
Nissan has brought in automotive content creator Alex Hirschi, also known as Supercar Blondie, with Norman Nato providing support, while tech journalist Cleo Abram will work with Sam Bird at NEOM McLaren, a customer Nissan team.
Supercar Blondie expressed her excitement, stating, “I’ve driven some of the most incredible cars in the world, but getting behind the wheel of a Formula E GEN3 Evo will be an experience on a whole new level.”
The star-studded list continues with Harry Potter’s Tom Felton driving for Envision Racing under the tutelage of Sebastien Buemi. Felton shared his lifelong love for cars and his anticipation for the event, describing the opportunity to drive a Formula E car as a “pinch myself, dream-come-true moment.”
Content creators Ammar Kandil and JUCA will respectively work with Porsche customers Andretti and Cupra Kiro, under the guidance of Jake Dennis and Dan Ticktum. YouTube sensation Theo Baker will join forces with Mahindra and Nyck de Vries. Scott Mansell, known as Driver61, will represent Lola Yamaha Abt, Formula E’s newest factory team, alongside Zane Maloney.
Notably, actor Lucien Laviscount, initially announced for Evo Sessions, had to withdraw due to a film commitment.
