Stake unveils brand-new team image and significantly revamped C44.

Stake has unveiled its new livery and “aggressively redesigned” C44 in London on Monday night. The team, formerly known as Alfa Romeo, has rebranded as Stake for the next two seasons and has introduced a new team identity featuring a vibrant green and black color scheme. The unveiling took place at a grand event in central London, attended by drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

Unlike Williams, Stake has also showcased its new car, the C44, in its promotional material. The C44 is described as a significant departure from its predecessor, featuring various changes such as pull-rod suspension instead of push-rod. This is the first car to be delivered since James Key returned as technical director. Alessandro Alunni Bravi, a representative of the team, expressed his desire to see an improvement compared to last year’s ninth-place finish in the constructors’ championship.

Alunni Bravi emphasized the significance of the C44’s launch, stating that it pays tribute to the hard work of James Key, the technical team, and everyone involved in the development of the car. He further highlighted the team’s fresh new identity and their excitement for what lies ahead on and off the track. While specific targets were not disclosed, the team’s clear objective is to enhance the performance of both the car and the overall package.

By “package,” Alunni Bravi refers to all aspects of the team, including the race team, on-track operations, pit stops, and strategy. The team is fully committed to making progress in all departments and aims to deliver a better performance than in the previous year. As the season progresses, they will assess their position, but the primary focus remains on improvement and delivering a stronger performance in 2024.
