Skoda has shown the first glimpse of the concept “Vision O”, set to debut at the Munich Motor Show, which will take place in September, and which points to the future of the Czech brand and the evolution of the Modern Solid design language.
This concept promises to anticipate some details of the next generation of the Octavia, which is expected to arrive by the end of the decade and debut the new SSP EV platform from the VW Group, and all indications suggest that it will feature a 100% electric version.
The first official image, now revealed, shows a silhouette that remains true to the overall shape of the current model, but with a new light signature, a design that is predominantly shaped by light contours, an aerodynamic body, as well as a sloped windshield and a gently sloping roof typical of Skoda’s estate models.
The brand from Mladá Boleslav also explained that the designation of the concept “Vision O” derives from the concept of circularity. “This holistic approach to recycling and reusing components minimizes the environmental impact of vehicle development and production. Furthermore, the concept is also characterized by the combination of functionality and user experience”, Skoda stated in a press release.
In the year it celebrates its 130th anniversary, the Czech brand is working to present a perspective on the upcoming models in its long-standing leading station wagon segment.
“This will be one of our most significant steps in the development and evolution of our design language for this period of transition in the automotive industry. It will position us to continue as an important player in the station wagon segment, in which Skoda Auto has been active since the 1920s. We are excited to present this concept to the world in early September 2025, marking a new era for Skoda Auto”, said Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto.
