Skoda produziu mais de 925 mil veículos em 2024

Skoda Auto announced that its factories worldwide produced over 925,000 vehicles, representing a 4.2% increase compared to 2023.

In addition to vehicle production, the Czech manufacturer was also responsible for producing over 280,000 battery systems for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for the VW Group, as well as more than 1 million transmissions and around 500,000 engines.

Skoda Auto’s main factory, located in Mladá Boleslav, accounted for a significant portion of this success by producing 575,000 Skoda vehicles. In 2024, production began on a record number of new and refreshed models, including the Scala, Kamiq, Kylaq, Octavia, and Kodiaq ranges.

The brand also continued to strengthen its international operations, with the Pune factory in India being expanded to produce the compact SUV Kylaq, the third Skoda model manufactured in India for the Indian market. Additionally, preparations for vehicle assembly in Vietnam were completed, and the production of the Kodiaq SKD began in Kazakhstan.

“From a production standpoint, 2024 was one of the most challenging years in Skoda Auto’s history. This was due to the launch of a record number of new vehicles, the expansion of our international production capacities, and the ongoing optimization of manufacturing processes”, said Andreas Dick, a member of the Skoda Board of Directors.

“Last year, we took significant steps to enhance our competitiveness and efficiency, including the challenging partial relocation of Octavia production to Kvasiny. This change freed up capacity in our unique and flexible production line in Mladá Boleslav, which accommodates both combustion and electric vehicles, making room for the new Elroq model range.”, concluded Andreas Dick.
