Singer revela versão do Porsche 911 que presta homenagem ao Carrera SSE

Singer, the renowned specialist in luxury vehicles based in California, USA, has been surprising its fans with work done on classic Porsche 911 models.

The American tuner has completed a dozen restorations and modifications of the well-known model from the Munich brand over its 15 years of existence.

Now, Singer is back in the news for its work on a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé, featuring the body of the well-known classic but equipped with the latest naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine from the company.

The inspiration in this case does not come from the common 911 Carrera of the 1980s, but from the much rarer Super Sport Equipment, or Carrera SSE. To achieve this, the update combined the 3.2-liter naturally aspirated engine from the original Carrera with wider front and rear fenders, larger front and rear spoilers, and the brake and suspension package from the 930, also known as the first 911 Turbo.

The engine features several innovations. It is the first restored engine for a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer to present a variable valve timing system, optimizing driving at low speeds and power at high RPMs. Additionally, it is also the first naturally aspirated engine restored by Singer to use water-cooled cylinder heads, combined with air-cooled cylinders, utilizing the knowledge gained from the DLS Turbo program.

Together, these features help the 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine develop 420 hp and broaden the torque delivery across a wider range of engine speeds.

The engine reaches over 8,000 RPM, and to encourage drivers to explore the full power, this Porsche 911 is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

The gear lever, as an option, can be raised in a configuration that exposes the transmission mechanism, thereby highlighting the handcrafted engineering of the system. Additionally, Singer has equipped this model with a new titanium exhaust, which enhances the soundtrack of the six-cylinder boxer.

Another of the new features is the rear of this version, which allows customers to choose between a solution with a generous wing or, alternatively, a more standard solution without the exuberance of the large rear wing.

Singer has not revealed the price of this preparation but announced that this special Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe will be limited to only 100 orders.
