Several decades later, Formula 1 returns to glamorous “Sin City” for the Las Vegas Grand Prix – an unprecedented round in its nomenclature, which is the third of the season in the United States of America.

In one of the most anticipated events of the season in terms of media coverage and spectacle, the cars will take to the track on the famous “Strip”, in a show that promises to go well beyond the on-track action. The sessions will be held at night.

With the titles already secured by Max Verstappen and Red Bull, the focus is now on other things – such as whether the Dutchman will be able to continue extending his record of victories.

In Las Vegas, Sergio Pérez can secure an unprecedented Red Bull one-two in the Drivers’ Championship. The Mexican is 32 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and can lose a maximum of six points to his rival in order to seal the vice-championship. Hamilton, on the other hand, also has the chance to close the accounts for third place.

Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) is 28 points behind and needs to leave Las Vegas with at least a 26-point advantage. Also in the fight are Lando Norris (McLaren) and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), respectively 29 and 32 points behind Hamilton.

In the Constructors’ Championship, there is also a battle for second place, with Mercedes holding a narrow 20-point lead over Ferrari. McLaren, far from the fight, is looking to continue the good phase of the season to solidify its position ahead of Aston Martin.
