Silverstone poderia potencialmente assumir como anfitrião da Fórmula E em vez de Londres.

The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League is set to host future Formula E races, replacing the current venue at the London ExCeL Arena. The ExCeL Arena has limited space for expansion, making it unsuitable for the needs of Formula E. The championship is now looking to include a mix of large-scale city tracks and permanent or modified permanent facilities in its schedule. Silverstone has emerged as a favorite to host a race in the UK, with negotiations becoming more extensive in recent months. Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds believes that circuits that are great for bikes can also create exciting races for Formula E cars. However, the decision to move away from the fan-friendly and sustainable environment of the ExCeL Arena may be hard to understand. Despite its limitations, the ExCeL circuit has provided unique and enjoyable races, although overtaking opportunities were limited. Formula E is looking for tracks that can offer both a great event and a perfect circuit for its cars. Monaco and São Paulo are examples of tracks that meet both criteria, while Mexico City only meets the former. The challenge for Formula E at Silverstone would be to create a unique and customized circuit that sets it apart from other races held at permanent facilities. Some drivers and teams prefer street circuits as they provide more opportunities for exciting races and showcase the skills of the drivers. However, with the introduction of the Gen3Evo next season, promising faster lap times, traditional circuits may also become suitable for Formula E races. Despite differing opinions, Formula E is likely to continue including a mix of street circuits and permanent facilities in its calendar in the foreseeable future.
