In a shocking turn of events, McLaren’s CEO Zak Brown revealed details about a past inquiry concerning the talented Dutch driver, Max Verstappen. The plot thickens as Brown discloses the aftermath of his conversation with Verstappen’s manager, Raymond Vermeulen.

The saga began when reports surfaced in March about Brown’s attempt to gauge Verstappen’s interest in joining McLaren. Verstappen’s response was lukewarm at best, indicating that the financial aspects did not align with his expectations. However, Brown’s recent revelations shed new light on the situation.

During a candid interview at the Miami Grand Prix, Brown clarified the nature of his conversation with Verstappen’s manager. He emphasized that his role involves market research and strategic planning, especially in the context of ongoing contract negotiations with McLaren’s current drivers.

Brown’s exchange with Vermeulen yielded valuable insights, providing Brown with the necessary information for his decision-making process. Notably, Brown expressed his preference for Verstappen to remain with Red Bull rather than make a potential move to Mercedes, highlighting the complexities of driver dynamics in Formula 1.

As the dust settles on this unexpected revelation, the Formula 1 community awaits Verstappen’s next move with bated breath. Will he stay loyal to Red Bull, or could a surprise switch be on the horizon? Only time will tell in this high-stakes game of driver transfers and team strategies.
