Fans of NASCAR are demanding a revolution in the sport after a thrilling finish in Mexico City that left everyone on the edge of their seats. The Viva Mexico 250 was not just a race; it was a spectacle filled with spins, drama, and a dominating performance by Shane van Gisbergen.

The introduction of a podium celebration at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez has sparked a debate in the NASCAR community. Should every race have a podium celebration like the one witnessed in Mexico? The fans seem to think so, as social media erupted with calls for NASCAR to make this a permanent feature.

The sight of the top three drivers – Shane van Gisbergen, Christopher Bell, and Chase Elliott – standing on the podium wearing traditional Mexican sombreros was a moment to remember. The cheers from the crowd echoed across the stadium, signaling a potential shift in NASCAR’s post-race celebrations.

Fans were quick to point out the joy on the faces of the second and third-place finishers, a sight rarely seen in traditional Victory Lane ceremonies. The demand for full-time podium celebrations is growing, with fans suggesting that NASCAR test the concept at marquee events before implementing it across all races.

The Mexico City race may have set the stage, but fans are already looking ahead to more thrilling podium moments in NASCAR. The sport may never be the same again, as the call for change becomes too loud to ignore. NASCAR, are you listening? The fans have spoken, and they want more podium celebrations.
