Sergio Perez Eyes Sensational F1 Comeback in 2026

After parting ways with Red Bull earlier than expected, Sergio Perez is keeping a close eye on the Formula 1 scene, waiting for the perfect opportunity to make his return to the sport. The Mexican driver revealed that he is open to rejoining F1 but only if the project aligns with his ambitions and values.

Perez hinted at the interest he has received from various constructors, with rumors suggesting that Cadillac could be one of the teams eager to secure his services for its F1 debut next year. Speaking about his future plans, Perez expressed his criteria for making a comeback, stating, “If I find a project that motivates me fully to come back, where the team believe in me and where they appreciate my career, my experience and everything I can bring to a team, it would be very attractive to consider it.”

The seasoned driver emphasized the importance of taking his time to evaluate all his options before committing to a new endeavor. He acknowledged the challenges of F1 and the significance of finding a project that resonates with him on a personal and professional level. Perez emphasized, “I’m only coming back if the project makes sense, and it’s something I can enjoy.”

Reflecting on his past experiences in F1, Perez highlighted the sacrifices required to compete at the highest level and the necessity of staying motivated. Despite facing setbacks in recent seasons, Perez remains optimistic about his future in the sport, especially with the upcoming regulation changes in 2026.

While observing the developments in Red Bull, including the early driver swap between Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda, Perez commented on the demanding nature of the team and the unique challenges posed by their car. Despite the complexities, Perez expressed his support for Tsunoda and his former team, wishing them success in their endeavors.

As Perez evaluates his next move in F1, fans and experts alike are eagerly anticipating his potential comeback in 2026. With his experience, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Perez’s return to the grid could mark a new chapter in his illustrious career.
