After parting ways with Red Bull, Sergio Pérez is eyeing a sensational return to Formula 1 in 2026, but only if the stars align with the right project. The racing prodigy hints at a potential comeback, with Cadillac possibly in the mix for his F1 revival.

Pérez, reflecting on his time with Red Bull, where he faced both success and struggles, is now exploring new avenues for his racing career. The Mexican driver is in talks with several teams, carefully weighing his options for a triumphant return to the pinnacle of motorsport.

In a candid interview, Pérez expressed his eagerness for a project that ignites his passion and values his wealth of experience. Despite the challenges faced at Red Bull, Pérez remains optimistic about finding the perfect opportunity to make his comeback a reality. The looming entry of Cadillac as the 11th team in F1 adds an intriguing layer to Pérez’s potential future in the sport.

Reflecting on his departure from Red Bull after a tumultuous 2024 campaign, Pérez shared his insights on the unexpected turn of events: “It all happened very late in the season. I wasn’t expecting it. It only became clearer when we were in Qatar and started discussing and negotiating my exit from the team. It all happened very quickly.”

As Pérez contemplates his next move, he emphasized the importance of finding a project that aligns with his ambitions and reignites his dedication to the sport. With promising opportunities on the horizon and interest from multiple teams since the conclusion of the season, Pérez remains steadfast in his pursuit of a compelling project that resonates with his racing ethos.

The seasoned driver acknowledged the sacrifices made throughout his F1 journey and emphasized the need for unwavering motivation to make a full-fledged return to the sport. With a strategic timeline in place to evaluate his options and make a definitive decision, Pérez is poised to make a resounding comeback if the right opportunity presents itself.

As the F1 landscape evolves with each passing season, Pérez’s potential return in 2026 adds an element of anticipation and excitement to the motorsport world. Stay tuned as the saga unfolds, paving the way for a thrilling chapter in Pérez’s racing legacy.
