Sergio Perez’s Future in F1 Uncertain: Cadillac Deal on the Horizon

In a shocking turn of events, former Red Bull ace Sergio Perez is rumored to be on the brink of signing a deal with the Cadillac F1 team as they gear up for their debut season in 2026. After a disappointing end to his stint with Red Bull in 2024, where he fell behind teammate Max Verstappen by a whopping 285 points, Perez found himself without a seat for the 2025 season.

However, all hope is not lost for the Mexican driver as reports suggest that he is currently in discussions with Cadillac for a three-year contract. But it seems that Cadillac is not the only team vying for Perez’s signature, with at least two other competitors in the mix.

Perez, a six-time Grand Prix winner, showed his mettle as a team player during his time at Red Bull, securing multiple victories and aiding in constructors’ championships. Now, as Cadillac prepares to enter the F1 scene, they are seeking an experienced driver like Perez to lead their team alongside a promising up-and-comer, possibly American.

The American outfit is leaving no stone unturned in their quest for success, with a grand launch party scheduled at the Miami Grand Prix this weekend to unveil their F1 car’s branding and design. With team principal Graeme Lowdon at the helm, Cadillac is determined to make a statement in their inaugural season.

As the F1 world eagerly awaits Perez’s decision, the timing seems perfect for his comeback, especially with the recent announcement that his home Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until 2028. Will Sergio Perez rise like a phoenix and reignite his F1 career with Cadillac in 2026?

Stay tuned for more updates on this gripping F1 saga!
