The Red Bull F1 team had a season of ups and downs in 2024. After 10 rounds, the team has achieved seven victories and suffered three defeats. With the Austrian GP approaching, the team manager emphasized the importance of staying focused.

The McLaren team, led by their captain, is quickly closing the gap on the leading teams. In the recent races, the British driver has emerged as the main contender to challenge Red Bull for wins in the Grand Prix.

Sergio Perez has noticed this development and recognizes the importance of maximizing his team’s potential.

Observing the reaction of the 34-year-old driver, it is evident that he openly acknowledges that McLaren currently has the strongest package (MCL38) on the grid. However, he also recognizes that the balance of power can shift if Red Bull introduces an upgrade to the RB20.

While Perez urges his team to give their maximum effort going forward, he also takes a moment to praise his remarkable teammate, Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has once again shown exceptional form throughout the ongoing season.

All seven of Red Bull’s victories have been achieved by the three-time world champion.

Max Verstappen currently leads the drivers’ championship with 219 points. Lando Norris closely follows in second place with 150 points, while Ferrari occupies third position. Perez, on the other hand, finds himself in fifth place, behind his teammate by a significant margin.

Considering all the points discussed, it is crucial for Perez to deliver consistent performances alongside Verstappen. This year, it will not be feasible for the 26-year-old driver to single-handedly maintain Red Bull’s dominance in both world championships.
