The 2024 Monaco Grand Prix weekend is in full swing, with the conclusion of Friday’s practice sessions. Ferrari has emerged as the favorite on the 3.3 km track, leaving Red Bull Racing to acknowledge that they are currently out of reach for their rivals.

The Red Bull Formula 1 team, based in Milton Keynes, faced difficulties during FP1 and FP2 in Monaco. Both RB20s encountered various issues, with one driver even comparing his experience to jumping like a kangaroo over the team radio.

None of the Red Bull cars managed to secure a top three position by the end of Friday.

Max Verstappen’s fastest time in FP2 was 1:11:813, placing him only in fourth position. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez achieved a time of 1:12:099, securing eighth place.

Perez expressed a pessimistic view on Red Bull’s chances at the Monaco Street Circuit, largely due to the team’s struggles with their tires. Both Perez and Verstappen failed to consistently set fast lap times.

In contrast, Ferrari’s performance has been exceptional, especially with their Monegasque driver.

He stole the show during Friday’s practice at the Monaco GP, showcasing the impressive performance of the SF-24 on the street circuit. This puts Red Bull Racing in a challenging position as they prepare for today’s qualifying session.
