Sergio Perez faced harsh criticism from fans, media, and even his own Red Bull team throughout the 2023 season. The Red Bull driver found himself involved in unfavorable headlines during the 2023 F1 campaign. Despite a season full of ups and downs, Perez managed to secure two impressive second places in the two races completed this year.

As the Australian GP approaches, Sergio Perez took the opportunity to reflect on his decision to step away from social media. Last year, Perez faced harsh online criticism for his below-par performances. This year, with the pressure to secure a contract extension with Red Bull, he acknowledges the importance of avoiding social media distractions during the intense F1 season.

Perez brings with him a vast experience to the F1 circuit, having been involved in the sport for a considerable period of time. However, since joining Red Bull, he has faced numerous challenges. Since 2021, his performances have been consistently questioned and criticized.

Despite his preference for staying away from social media, Sergio Perez recently expressed his intention to continue racing in F1. At 34 years old, he believes he still has the desire and speed necessary to remain competitive. He also finds inspiration every day to perform at his best as a Red Bull driver in F1.

The ongoing 2024 F1 season has started positively for Perez. However, considering his history of occasional setbacks, he will attract significant attention this year. Racing for his career, he will be under the spotlight in the remaining 22 races. Red Bull, at least, hopes he secures the second position in the drivers’ standings, behind Verstappen.
