Sergio Perez Slams Red Bull in Explosive Tell-All Interview

In a shocking revelation, former F1 star Sergio Perez has unleashed a scathing attack on Red Bull following his exit from the team in 2024. The Mexican driver expressed his disappointment, claiming that Red Bull failed to stand by him during a tumultuous period. Despite having a signed contract in place, Perez felt abandoned by the team as rumors swirled about his future.

Perez did not hold back during an appearance on the Desde el Paddock podcast, where he voiced his frustrations with how Red Bull handled his departure. He criticized the team for succumbing to external pressure and creating a toxic atmosphere that ultimately led to his exit. Perez highlighted the detrimental impact the situation had on himself and the team, citing the immense pressure that affected performance on and off the track.

During his tenure at Red Bull, Perez secured five race wins and established himself as a reliable second driver alongside Max Verstappen. However, as the 2024 season unfolded, Perez struggled to keep up with his teammate, leading to a decline in performance and a disappointing eighth-place finish in the drivers’ championship.

Following Perez’s departure, Red Bull has faced challenges in filling the second driver seat, with neither Liam Lawson nor Yuki Tsunoda delivering consistent results in 2025. Meanwhile, Perez remains determined to make a comeback to the sport and has been linked to a potential role with new team Cadillac for their F1 debut in 2026.

With his track record of success and a strong backing from sponsors like KitKat and Heineken, Perez presents an enticing option for teams looking to bolster their lineup. However, the 35-year-old will face stiff competition from other drivers vying for a return to the grid, including Valtteri Bottas and Mick Schumacher.

As the F1 landscape continues to evolve, Perez’s candid revelations shed light on the inner workings of a top-tier team and the challenges faced by drivers in a high-pressure environment. His determination to secure a comeback serves as a testament to his resilience and unwavering passion for the sport, setting the stage for a potential return to glory in the future.
