Sergio Perez não está completamente à vontade com o Red Bull RB20 em comparação com Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez was unable to reach the same level of comfort with the RB20 as his teammate, Max Verstappen. Red Bull Racing had a remarkable season in 2023, dominating Formula 1. The team took a unique approach with their 2024 car, which was designed by an aerodynamics expert. During pre-season testing, Verstappen felt at home with the Red Bull RB20. However, Perez seems to be facing more difficulties with the car.

Last season, Perez struggled with the RB19. Despite finishing second in Bahrain, 22 seconds behind Verstappen, the Mexican driver admitted he did not feel completely comfortable with the new car. However, Perez mentioned that he had a better understanding of the RB20 compared to its predecessor.

Furthermore, Perez acknowledged that there is plenty of room for Red Bull to maximize the car’s performance in the upcoming races. He praised Milton Keynes for their bold concept with the 2024 challenger. In the previous season, Perez only managed to win two races, while Verstappen secured nineteen victories. This significant difference between the two drivers motivated Perez to challenge the three-time world champion for wins this season.

In the early races of the season, Perez may struggle to keep up with Verstappen. The latter is currently at the peak of his career, as demonstrated by his impressive victory in Bahrain. Additionally, Perez’s discomfort with the RB20 may further hinder his ability to compete with his teammate.

Fans are undoubtedly hoping for a more intense competition between Verstappen and Perez. However, the current world champion has already established a significant advantage with a dominant win in the season opener. It remains to be seen if Perez will finally be able to match Verstappen’s performance in Milton Keynes.
