Sergio Perez preocupa-se com concorrentes de Max Verstappen, diz que o piloto holandês está se destacando na Red Bull.

Sergio Perez commits to challenge his teammate Max Verstappen, who is currently at the peak of his career. The upcoming 2024 season represents a significant challenge for Perez. He must match or surpass his teammate, who displayed overwhelming dominance over the Mexican driver in 2023. Although Perez managed to outperform Verstappen in two of the first four races last season, his performance significantly declined after the Miami GP. Now, he considers achieving Q3 on Saturdays as one of his main goals.

For Red Bull, Verstappen has become an invaluable asset. Perez aims to regain his previous form, which he had at the beginning of the previous season, to secure his position as a Red Bull driver in 2025. However, the odds are not in his favor as Verstappen is currently in great form with the RB20, experiencing the best moments of his career.

Perez intends to make the most of every opportunity in 2024, showcasing his progress throughout the 24 races. He believes this will lead to exceptional performance throughout the year. The Mexican driver hopes to once again establish himself as one of the strongest competitors on the grid but faces fierce competition from the Dutch master.

The pressure is on Sergio Perez to deliver better results as his contract with Red Bull expires at the end of 2024. The team’s consultant has set a deadline for the summer break to evaluate Perez’s performance and make decisions regarding the team’s driver lineup for 2025. Perez’s difficulties in the previous year highlight the need for improved performance.

During the previous season, Perez faced difficulties in qualifying, often missing out on the third round and starting races in unfavorable positions to support Max Verstappen. If Perez fails to improve, there are other contenders vying for his position in the Visa Cash App RB team in 2024.

According to Marko, after the “summer break,” the team plans to explore potential options from outside the team. This includes drivers like [Driver A] and [Driver B], who are currently available or under contract with other teams. Perez must deliver strong performances in 2024 to secure his future with Red Bull.
