Sergio Perez frustrado com sua própria performance após se classificar em 16º lugar para o Grande Prêmio do Canadá.

Sergio Perez had a terrible experience during the qualifying round in Montreal. Since signing a two-year contract extension with Red Bull, Perez has been facing difficulties. In the recent qualifying session for the Canadian GP, he was eliminated in the first round (Q1) and his frustration was evident.

During Q1, Sergio Perez’s lap time was 1:13:326, which was even slower than the Alpine car. By the end of the session, Perez was in 15th place but ended up being eliminated by the Williams driver.

Perez believes that Red Bull has a significant task ahead to address the issues with the RB20 car. He expressed his opinion that there are fundamental problems that need immediate attention. Additionally, he admitted to being dissatisfied with his performance in the highly competitive qualifying session in Montreal.

While Perez attributes his elimination in Q1 to issues with the RB20, a Red Bull team consultant disagrees. The consultant, Marko, believes that the Mexican driver was solely responsible for his disappointing performance. Marko feels that Perez failed to extract the maximum potential from his car.

Despite the challenges, Perez is ready to start the Canadian GP in second position after a strong performance in qualifying.

The 2024 F1 season is starting to reflect Sergio Perez’s campaign in 2023. After a good start in the current season, Perez’s performance has started to decline once again. If this trend continues in the upcoming events, he is likely to face intense scrutiny. For the next Canadian GP, with 70 laps, Perez’s focus will be on minimizing the damage.
