Sergio Perez expects to excel in 2024.

In his final season at Red Bull, Sergio Perez is feeling positive heading into 2024. The Mexican driver is hopeful for a successful fourth and potentially last year with the team. Despite being slower than his teammate, Perez has shown solid performance as a supporting player. However, in 2023, he was outperformed by his Dutch teammate by a significant margin.

Perez was unable to manage his high expectations for various events, despite having the fastest car on the grid for much of the 2023 season. He faced heavy criticism for his underwhelming mid-season strategy. However, Perez has learned from his past mistakes and is now aiming for his best season with Red Bull in 2024.

If Perez wants to secure a seat with Red Bull in 2025, he will need to prove himself, especially with another option already available. He believes that in the upcoming season, he will seize every opportunity and perform at his highest level in every Grand Prix. His sole focus will be on delivering exceptional results.

Red Bull recently unveiled their 2024 car, which showcases daring design elements, particularly in the engine cover and side pod areas. Taking inspiration from Mercedes, the team has incorporated gulleys that extend from the top of the engine cover to the halo. Perez has praised the RB20 as an innovative concept and commended Red Bull for their bravery in implementing it.

While Perez acknowledges that the previous RB19 was efficient, he believes that the upcoming challenger has made improvements, especially in terms of low-speed performance. However, the true extent of these enhancements will only be revealed once they hit the track.
