Formula 1 sensation Sergio Perez is back in the spotlight with a surprising new contract, but not the kind you might expect! The six-time grand prix winner has inked a deal that will have fans raising their eyebrows in disbelief.

After taking a break from the intense world of Formula 1 in 2024 and being replaced by Liam Lawson at Red Bull, Perez is now making headlines for a different reason. This 35-year-old racing prodigy has hinted at a potential return to the grid in 2026, but for now, he’s focusing on a partnership that’s sure to turn heads.

In a jaw-dropping move, Perez has signed a new sponsorship contract with none other than Heineken 0.0 per cent beer. The Mexican racer announced this unexpected collaboration through a social media video with the Mexican faction of the popular beer brand. A massive building-sized poster with Perez’s signature was unveiled in the video, along with the bold statement, “The best driver always chooses Heineken 0.0.”

While a full-time return to Red Bull seems unlikely for Perez, there’s still hope on the horizon for his fans. With the introduction of an 11th team on the grid next season by American outfit Cadillac, doors are opening for drivers like Perez, Valtteri Bottas, and even the beloved Daniel Ricciardo to make a comeback.

The news of Perez’s new sponsorship deal comes amidst speculations about his future in Formula 1, with talks circulating about his potential involvement with Cadillac. Team principal Graeme Lowdon’s recent discussions with Perez have fueled rumors of a grand return for the veteran racer.

As the racing world eagerly awaits Perez’s next move, one thing is for sure – this unexpected partnership with Heineken 0.0 has certainly put him back in the spotlight in a way that nobody saw coming.
