Sébastien Ogier has officially carved his name into the highest tier of WRC history. The Toyota driver clinched his ninth World Rally Championship title on Saturday — sealing the deal even before the final stage of the Saudi Arabia Rally.
Alongside co-driver Vincent Landais, Ogier wrapped up the crown ahead of teammate Elfyn Evans, completing a season-long duel that now places him level with the sport’s greatest icon: Sébastien Loeb.
With this achievement, Ogier stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the man whose record once seemed untouchable, becoming only the second driver in rally history to reach nine world titles.
A monumental milestone. A legendary rivalry finally balanced. And a new chapter written into the WRC’s all-time record books.
