Sebastien Ogier, the legendary eight-time World Rally Champion, is set to ignite the Acropolis Rally in Greece next month with his confirmed entry on the 12-car Rally1 list. The Toyota driver will be showcasing his skills on the challenging gravel terrain, marking his fifth appearance in the 2025 WRC campaign.
Joining a stellar lineup, Ogier will be part of Toyota’s formidable team alongside Elfyn Evans, Kalle Rovanpera, Takamoto Katsuta, and Sami Pajari. Hyundai and M-Sport-Ford will also bring their A-game to the rally, with top drivers like Thierry Neuville, Ott Tanak, and Adrien Fourmaux in the mix.
The Acropolis Rally is shaping up to be a fierce competition, with 34 WRC2 entries adding to the excitement. Among them are the current top three championship contenders – Yohan Rossel, Oliver Solberg, and Gus Greensmith.
Ogier’s recent victory in Portugal has propelled him to third place in the championship, just 32 points behind Evans. As he gears up for the upcoming gravel challenge in Sardinia, where he has triumphed four times in the past, Ogier remains focused on continuous improvement.
Reflecting on his past successes and the tough competition ahead, Ogier expressed his determination, stating, “Sardinia has always been a difficult challenge… This year it can be even tougher for our team… But I have good memories from our win in 2021… and we know well that it’s a rally where anything can happen.”
With Ogier’s relentless drive for victory and the formidable lineup of drivers ready to battle it out on the demanding stages of the Acropolis Rally, fans can expect nothing short of adrenaline-pumping action and intense competition in the world of rallying.
