Red Bull’s Turmoil: Helmut Marko’s Vettel Successor Sparks Controversy

In a shocking turn of events, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has ignited a firestorm of controversy by hinting at Sebastian Vettel as his potential successor. Amidst the chaos at Red Bull, Marko’s comments have raised eyebrows and divided opinions in the racing world.

Marko, who just celebrated his 82nd birthday, expressed his admiration for Vettel, stating, “I think he would be the ideal successor candidate.” He highlighted Vettel’s experience and expertise, suggesting that the former champion could seamlessly transition into a leadership role within the team.

However, not everyone is convinced of Marko’s choice. F1 legend Johnny Herbert warned that such a move could “stir the pot” at Red Bull, a team already plagued by instability and uncertainty. Herbert raised concerns about the demands of the role on Vettel, particularly the extensive travel and time commitment required.

As Marko envisions a future with Vettel at the helm, Red Bull grapples with ongoing challenges, including the struggle to master the RB21 car. The team’s performance on the track has been inconsistent, adding further pressure to the already tense atmosphere within the organization.

With speculations rife about Marko’s succession plan and Vettel’s potential role, the future of Red Bull hangs in the balance. Will Vettel step into Marko’s shoes, or will the team opt for a different direction? As the drama unfolds, one thing is certain: the racing world is in for a turbulent ride.
