Sebastian Vettel’s Emotional Tribute to Daniel Ricciardo’s F1 Victory Resurfaces Dramatic Past

In a thrilling throwback tribute, Sebastian Vettel takes to Instagram to honor Daniel Ricciardo’s impressive Formula 1 accomplishments. Vettel, known for his reserved social media presence, has been sharing glimpses of his illustrious career on the platform since joining in July 2022 with a retirement announcement. From showcasing his ‘Buzzin Corner’ at the Japanese Grand Prix to his participation in the Race of Champions, Vettel’s Instagram has been a treasure trove for fans. Among his posts, Vettel’s throwback series stands out, tracing his journey from karting days to his championship-winning years at Red Bull.

The latest tribute from Vettel commemorates Ricciardo’s sensational victory at the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix, a race where the Australian driver outshone Mercedes’ struggles to clinch the win for Red Bull. Surging from sixth place to overtake Nico Rosberg, Ricciardo secured his first win of the season, followed by consecutive victories in Hungary and Belgium. Vettel’s Instagram post captured the essence of that memorable day, including a snapshot of him showering Ricciardo with champagne, accompanied by heartfelt congratulations and words of encouragement.

However, their partnership was short-lived as Vettel moved to Ferrari the following year, ultimately retiring in 2022 without securing a fifth world title. On the other hand, Ricciardo’s career trajectory post-Red Bull saw him unable to replicate his early success, despite a commendable stint with the team until his departure in 2018. As Vettel and Ricciardo’s paths diverged, their shared moments on the track remain etched in F1 history, celebrated by fans worldwide.
