Sebastian Vettel in Talks for Shocking Return to Red Bull in F1

Former F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel has dropped a bombshell by revealing that he is in discussions with Red Bull about a potential comeback to the team, but not as a driver. Vettel, who clinched all of his four world titles with Red Bull between 2010-2013, retired at the end of the 2022 season and is now considering a non-driving role within the team.

The 37-year-old has been suggested as a potential successor to Dr. Helmut Marko as the head of the Red Bull young driver programme, a role that would see Vettel mentoring and nurturing new talents for the team. Despite stepping away from the driver’s seat, Vettel remains deeply involved in the F1 community and has maintained a close relationship with Marko.

Speaking about the discussions, Vettel stated, “There have been a few headlines now, I still get along very well with Helmut, and we are also in exchange on the subject.” He acknowledged that while the talks are not yet in-depth, there is a possibility for him to play a role within the team in the future. Vettel also praised Marko’s contributions to Red Bull, emphasizing that the seasoned figure is irreplaceable.

While Vettel ruled out a return as a driver, the prospect of him taking on a pivotal off-track position has sparked excitement among fans and experts alike. As discussions unfold behind the scenes, the F1 world eagerly awaits to see if Vettel will make a groundbreaking return to Red Bull in a new capacity.

In other news, the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix promises to be a thrilling event, with key storylines including Lando Norris’ response after the Canadian Grand Prix and the looming threat of a race ban for Max Verstappen. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track and off it.
