Scout Motors has already announced that it will unveil two models of the new generation on October 24. The all-terrain vehicle brand, which is being revived by VW for the North American market, 44 years after the launch of the last model, will introduce two fully electric vehicles, a pickup and an SUV, which are expected to be based on a new technical platform designed for the use of pickups and all-terrain vehicles within the VW Group.
It is worth noting that Scout gained prominence in the 1960s for its all-terrain vehicles, and was later absorbed by Navistar, which eventually became part of the Traton Group’s brand conglomerate, a subsidiary of the VW Group that includes, among others, the brands MAN and Scania.
Now the new Scout Motors, based in Illinois, is preparing to revive the brand with the launch of two new models that will be presented on October 24, a date of special significance for the brand as it marks the day the production of the last Scout II took place on October 24, 1980.
So far, the company has not revealed technical details about the new models, but it has shown two sketches that reveal the profile of the generously sized SUV and pickup.
