Scott McLaughlin joins DXDT Racing’s star-studded lineup for thrilling Rolex 24 showdown

Scott McLaughlin Joins the DXDT Racing Lineup for the Thrilling Rolex 24 at Daytona!

In a dramatic announcement that has sent ripples of excitement through the motorsport community, DXDT Racing has officially unveiled its driver lineup for the highly anticipated Rolex 24 At Daytona! As the team gears up for its sophomore season in the prestigious IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Series, all eyes are on the No. 36 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, set to compete fiercely in the Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) class.

The standout feature of this roster is none other than IndyCar sensation Scott McLaughlin. The talented driver, who currently races for Team Penske, is no stranger to the endurance racing scene, having made three previous appearances in this iconic event. Notably, in 2025, McLaughlin secured a commendable ninth place finish in the GTD Pro class while piloting a Corvette for Trackhouse by TF Sport. His previous outings included two impressive fifth-place finishes in the LMP2 class with Tower Motorsports during the 2023-24 season, showcasing his versatility and skill across different racing formats.

Joining McLaughlin in this high-octane lineup are seasoned drivers Charlie Eastwood and Salih Yoluc, both returning to the team for the Endurance Cup rounds after delivering strong performances last year. The duo collectively achieved two top-10 class finishes, with their best result being a stellar seventh place at the Petit Le Mans held at Road Atlanta.

Adding a fresh face to the mix is Mason Filippi, who has been confirmed as DXDT Racing’s first full-time driver for the upcoming season. Filippi made his mark in IMSA’s top division during the final two rounds of last season with Gradient Racing, driving a Ford Mustang GT3. Prior to his entry into this elite racing tier, he honed his skills in the Michelin Pilot Challenge and made notable appearances in the NASCAR Truck Series and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly Xfinity) in 2022.

However, the lineup isn’t without its surprises. Fans will notice the absence of Robert Wickens, who participated in five sprint races with the team last year, achieving an impressive fourth-place finish at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. As of now, Filippi’s co-driver for the five sprint races remains a mystery, leaving fans speculating about potential announcements in the near future.

With such a dynamic and talented roster, DXDT Racing is poised to make a significant impact at the Rolex 24, one of the most grueling and exhilarating races in the world. As the countdown to the event begins, the anticipation builds—will McLaughlin and his teammates rise to the occasion and etch their names in racing history? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the Daytona International Speedway is set to witness an unforgettable showdown!
