Formula 1 enthusiasts are divided over Sauber’s bold move to reveal a new livery just before the Miami Grand Prix kicks off. The Swiss team, set to transition to Audi soon, showcased a unique one-off design featuring fluorescent green and black colors in a paint splash pattern for the upcoming race weekend at the iconic Hard Rock Stadium.
While some fans expressed disappointment, commenting that the livery didn’t deviate much from the team’s usual design, others were more supportive, suggesting that Sauber should stick with this striking look for the rest of the 2025 season.
In a pre-race statement, driver Nico Hulkenberg couldn’t contain his excitement for the Miami circuit, describing the atmosphere as “special” and the sprint weekend as “extra spicy.” Hulkenberg emphasized the need to quickly adapt to the fast-paced nature of the event, highlighting the importance of starting off on the right foot from the get-go.
Meanwhile, Hulkenberg’s rookie teammate, Gabriel Bortoleto, acknowledged the challenges of the Miami track, especially since it will be his first time racing at the International Autodrome.
