In a shocking turn of events, the Sauber team faced disqualification in Bahrain due to unexpected reasons. The talented driver, Nico Hulkenberg, sheds light on the controversial incident and looks ahead to a brighter weekend in Saudi Arabia.

Following the dramatic double disqualification of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in China, Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg faced a similar fate in Bahrain. The team principal of Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur, had ominously predicted more disqualifications in the future, and indeed, the prophecy came true for Sauber.

The disqualification was attributed to the excessive consumption of the car’s floor, a problem reminiscent of Lewis Hamilton’s past penalty. Hulkenberg explained, “We were taken aback by the increase in headwind compared to the Qualifying round, which led to more aerodynamic load, more car bottoming, and consequently, excessive floor consumption.”

Learning from this setback, Hulkenberg is optimistic about a more competitive performance in Saudi Arabia. He anticipates a stronger showing on the track, especially on faster sections, as the slow corners in Bahrain did not favor their car’s performance.

As the team regroups and prepares for the upcoming race, all eyes will be on Sauber to see if they can overcome the challenges faced in Bahrain and make a triumphant comeback in Saudi Arabia.
