After Cristina Gutiérrez on the sixth stage of the Challenger, Sara Price became the second woman to win in the Dakar 2024 on Wednesday: in stage 10 of the SSV.
The South Racing Can-Am rookie came out on top in an exciting and intense duel, managing to stay only 22 seconds ahead of Jérôme de Sadeleer (MMP/BRP). Rodrigo Varela (Team BBR/Can-Am) finished third, 4m10s behind, while João Ferreira/Filipe Palmeiro (Can-Am Factory Team) represented the Portuguese flag in fourth place after yesterday’s misfortunes. Florent Vayssade Sébastien Loeb Racing Bardahl Team/Polaris) finished fifth.
The overall leader remains Xavier de Soultrait (Sébastien Loeb Racing Bardahl Team/Polaris), who saw his lead over Price reduce to 20m26s with the sixth fastest time in the stage. De Sadeleer is third ahead of Yasir Seaidan (MMP/BRP), while Ferreira/Palmeiro remain in fifth place, far from the top four and the rivals behind.
