Sainz updates on future in F1 as Williams makes public offer.

Sainz has been considering his options since it was announced that he will leave Ferrari at the end of the season. Although Sauber/Audi is known as the top choice for the Spaniard, it was revealed last month that Williams is also in negotiations with Sainz and his management team. Vowles expressed that Sainz is the number one candidate for Williams and spoke highly of what he could bring to the team. However, Sainz made it clear that he will not be influenced by an open approach and needs time to make his decision. He emphasized that his focus is on the current season and he will meet with his management team to determine his next step. So far, nothing has been decided and Sainz is unsure if he can wait until the summer break or if a decision will be made earlier. Vowles believes that Williams’ search for a race-winning driver shows a change in approach and their commitment to return to the front of the grid. Ultimately, the decision lies with Sainz whether he wants to join Williams or not.
