Sainz ready to announce Formula 1 team choice soon.

The chances of Sainz returning to Red Bull were frustrated when Sergio Perez renewed his contract, and Mercedes informed that they were no longer interested. However, Sauber, which will become Audi in 2025, presented a lucrative proposal to Sainz, while Williams boss James Vowles also expressed interest in hiring him. Sainz spoke about his imminent decision on the Spanish talk show El Hormiguero, stating that he wants to focus on the remainder of the year with Ferrari. Both Williams and Sauber have had a slow start to the current season, but with Audi’s investment and Williams’ renewal, they are seeking success in the future. Sainz believes that a medium to long-term project is necessary for success in Formula 1 and sees the upcoming rule change as an opportunity for teams to stand out. He emphasized that 2026 will be a turning point and could bring unexpected positive surprises.
