Carlos Sainz Jr, the Spanish driver for Ferrari, expressed his relief at successfully completing the first two practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix in Formula 1. Despite not being fully recovered from his recent appendicitis surgery, Sainz managed to complete 48 laps during the practice sessions. He had previously stated that he would step away if he wasn’t fit to compete, but it seems he will be able to continue in the SF-24 car. Sainz acknowledged feeling tired and not being in his best physical shape, but overall, he had a good day and was pleased with his performance. He is hopeful that with more laps and increased confidence, he can challenge for pole position in tomorrow’s qualifying session.
