Sainz expõe fator que atrasa decisões das equipes de F1.

Carlos Sainz Jr from Spain, who currently races for Ferrari in Formula 1, expressed uncertainty about his future in the sport. He describes the upcoming rule reset as a “heads or tails” situation, making it difficult for him to determine his next destination. Sainz is considering offers from Sauber, which will become Audi in 2026, and Williams, where he would be a partner to Alex Albon. Prior to his home race in Spain, Sainz emphasized the need to make a decision soon so that he can focus on his current activities with Ferrari. He stated, “A decision will be made very soon… hopefully we will have a lot to talk about soon.”

Although Sainz intends to resolve his future prospects in the short term, he admits that he is still undecided about which team to choose. Currently, he is discussing options with his team and plans to take a few days to reflect before the Spanish Grand Prix. Sainz acknowledges that the past few weeks have been hectic, leaving him with little time to sit down and make a decision.

Sainz emphasizes his preference for a long-term commitment with a team, especially considering the regulations overhaul in 2026. However, he finds it challenging to determine which team is better positioned to succeed under the new rules. He states, “Guessing now in 2024 who will perform better in 2026 is almost impossible… It’s almost impossible to predict who will stand out in 2026.” As a result, he also considers the 2025 season crucial in his decision-making process as it will provide some insights into the team’s performance and dynamics.

Overall, Sainz recognizes the complexity of his decision and the various factors at play. He is taking his time to carefully consider all aspects, including the power unit side and team dynamics, before making a final choice.
