Ryan Preece’s Betrayal: Turning His Back on Tony Stewart’s Mentorship for a Shot at Redemption with New Team

In a shocking turn of events, Ryan Preece has chosen to snub the years of mentorship he received from racing legend Tony Stewart in favor of a new beginning with RFK Racing. After the closure of Stewart-Haas Racing left Preece without a seat, he found solace in the guidance of Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher at RFK Racing.

Preece’s redemption tour in 2025 is now in full swing, with his sights set on victory. Despite the influence of Tony Stewart in his career, Preece is vocal about the pivotal role Keselowski and Buescher are playing in his journey to success. The driver’s shift to RFK Racing has revitalized his career, with Keselowski acknowledging Preece’s untapped potential and signing him to drive the No. 60 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Having struggled for consistent results in the past, Preece is determined to prove himself on the track. While his time at Stewart-Haas Racing did not yield the expected outcomes, the support and mentorship from Keselowski and Buescher have injected new life into Preece’s racing career.

Looking ahead, Preece exudes confidence in his abilities, believing that his hard work will soon pay off with a breakthrough win. Despite facing setbacks, including a recent post-race inspection that tarnished RFK Racing’s near-win at Talladega, Preece remains focused on showcasing his skills across various race types. His renewed drive and determination hint at a potential breakout season on the horizon.

However, Talladega proved to be a bittersweet moment for RFK Racing, with both Keselowski and Buescher facing early exits due to on-track incidents. The double DNF (Did Not Finish) was a setback for the team’s ambitious plans for the season, but they remain resilient in the face of adversity.

As RFK Racing regroups and sets its sights on future races, the team is poised to turn disappointment into triumph. With Preece leading the charge towards redemption and Keselowski and Buescher providing invaluable support, RFK Racing is determined to rise above the challenges and emerge victorious on the NASCAR circuit.
