Ryan Blaney Shakes Up NASCAR with Bold Insight into Roger Penske’s Winning Philosophy!

In a gripping virtual conversation with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Ryan Blaney pulled back the curtain on the intense world of NASCAR and the expectations set by the legendary automotive mogul, Roger Penske. The 88-year-old titan of racing is not concerned about which of his drivers crosses the finish line first—what matters to him is that it’s one of the Penske team members. Blaney, who recently clinched his third victory of the 2025 season at the North Hampshire Motor Speedway, shared an eye-opening glimpse into the competitive yet cooperative atmosphere within the Penske Racing family.

Blaney’s victory on September 21 was a testament to his skill, as he outperformed rivals while his teammate and reigning Cup Series champion, Joey Logano, secured a respectable fourth place. The camaraderie between the two drivers is palpable, with Blaney stating, “Really the one thing Roger has ever told us is for running 1-2 or something like that, like, I don’t care who wins, doesn’t matter to me which car wins as long as one of you wins. Just don’t wreck each other to win the race.” This mantra encapsulates the spirit of teamwork that defines Penske’s approach—fostering a winning culture without sacrificing the integrity of the race.

However, the road to success isn’t without its bumps. Just last week at Kansas, both Blaney and Logano faced disappointment, finishing 24th and 21st respectively. The race was ultimately claimed by Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott, who led a fierce pack that included Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell. With the playoffs heating up, Blaney now gears up for the critical Bank of America ROVAL 400, a 109-lap showdown set to unfold live on USA Network on October 5.

As the NASCAR playoff season intensifies, Blaney currently sits sixth in the driver standings, boasting an impressive 3,099 points accumulated from three wins, 13 top-five finishes, and 17 top-10s. But the season’s drama doesn’t stop there! Just weeks ago, Blaney found himself in a tense showdown with Kyle Larson at the Gateway track, where a collision nearly derailed his race. In a thrilling turn of events, Larson’s late-stage maneuver sent Blaney spinning, leading to a post-race interview filled with raw emotion. “I just wanted to know what I did to deserve it,” Blaney remarked, expressing his confusion over the incident.

Kyle Larson later stepped up, taking full responsibility for the mishap, clarifying, “Yeah, all on me. But it wasn’t intentional at all. I hope he understands that.” Both drivers are fiercely pursuing their second NASCAR Cup Series championship, and with Blaney’s potential victory this year, it could signify a historic fourth consecutive championship sweep for Team Penske.

As the NASCAR season races towards its climax, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Will Blaney’s insights into Penske’s racing philosophy fuel his drive to the championship, or will the fierce competition among teammates and rivals alike prove too daunting? All eyes will be on the upcoming races as Blaney and his fellow drivers battle for supremacy in the high-octane world of NASCAR racing!
