Ryan Blaney pede grandes reformas da NASCAR para melhorar a competição em pistas curtas.

Ryan Blaney is urging NASCAR to address the ongoing issues with short track races. Since the introduction of the Next-Gen cars, there has been much discussion within the racing community about the poor quality of races on smaller tracks. The new cars have made it extremely difficult to pass and, combined with issues like lack of tire wear, dirty air, and traffic, it has become nearly impossible to have an exciting race.

Drivers and teams have been calling for major changes from NASCAR, including adjustments to levels, engine power, and more. The sanctioning body has tried various changes, such as altering the diffuser, using new tire compounds, and making aerodynamic adjustments, but none of these solutions have been successful. Even the reigning champion has expressed disappointment with the current state of short track races.

Blaney, driver for Team Penske in the No. 22 Ford Mustang, believes that NASCAR needs to make drastic changes to improve races on these tracks. While he does not have a specific solution in mind, he suggests that even adjusting the car’s height could be a viable option.

The champion emphasizes the need for immediate and rational changes. He acknowledges the criticism from fans and drivers regarding the poor quality of races in recent seasons. Blaney’s teammate, Joey Logano, who is a two-time Cup champion, has also expressed a similar opinion, urging NASCAR to make significant changes to the racing package on short tracks. It is crucial for the sanctioning body to listen to its drivers and address this issue, as the subpar quality of short track races should not be ignored.
