Rowland loses championship chance in Formula E due to illness.

Oliver Rowland’s chances of winning the Formula E title in 2024 have been ruined, as he will not be able to compete in the next two races in Portland for medical reasons. Caio Collet, an Indy NXT driver, will replace Rowland in the Nissan team in the United States. Rowland’s absence not only ends his title hopes but also affects Nissan’s position in the team championship. Despite this setback, Collet, who has been acting as a reserve and simulator driver for Nissan this season, will have a challenging task as he is not familiar with the Portland track and has limited expectations of scoring points. However, a good performance from Collet can benefit Nissan in their battle for third place in the championship standings. Additionally, Rowland’s withdrawal brings attention to his teammate Sacha Fenestraz, who has significantly fewer points than Rowland and may face pressure regarding his future with the team.
