Trackhouse Racing’s Justin Marks Delivers Uplifting Message to Ross Chastain After Heartbreaking Playoff Exit

In a dramatic turn of events that has left NASCAR fans on the edge of their seats, Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks has stepped up to support driver Ross Chastain following a razor-thin elimination from the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Chastain’s valiant efforts at the Charlotte Roval ended in heartbreak as he was narrowly edged out by Joey Logano, who advanced by a mere four points.

The tension reached its peak during the final laps as Chastain fought fiercely for a coveted playoff position. However, a late-race caution and a chaotic restart threw a wrench into his plans, leaving him just shy of the next round. In a vivid recounting of the event, Chastain’s aggressive strategy culminated in a dramatic collision with Denny Hamlin, resulting in both drivers spinning out just yards from the finish line. Chastain, desperately reversing his car to cross the line, ultimately finished in a disappointing 31st place, while Logano seized the moment to secure his spot.

In a recent interview aired on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, Marks passionately urged Chastain to shift his focus towards the upcoming race in Las Vegas, emphasizing the importance of resilience. “All I told him is just get ready for Vegas… keep the big picture as clear as possible. It was a bummer that day didn’t turn out the way we wanted, but we have a lot to fight for the rest of this year,” Marks stated, reminding Chastain that while it’s natural to feel frustrated, the time for mourning is over.

Chastain, who previously thrilled fans by advancing to the Championship 4 finale at Phoenix Raceway last season with a stunning last-lap “Hail Mary” pass at Martinsville, has a promising season behind him. With one win, three top-five finishes, and eleven top-ten finishes to his name, Marks is determined to keep the momentum going into the future. “We still have opportunities to win races. The company is making a lot of moves internally to set ourselves up for a very successful 2026,” he affirmed, highlighting the team’s commitment to excellence.

As the 32-year-old driver gears up for the next challenge at Las Vegas—a track where he has previously excelled—Marks emphasized the need for his team to channel their disappointment into motivation. “You can be pissed off right now, you can be sad right now, but I don’t want to see any of that on Monday morning, because we’ve still got work to do and a lot of opportunity for us ahead,” he expressed, calling for a renewed focus on the road ahead.

Moreover, Trackhouse Racing is eyeing the future with ambitious plans, having recently signed Xfinity Series rookie Connor Zilisch for a full season in 2026. The team is clearly making strategic moves to position itself as a formidable contender in the NASCAR landscape.

As Ross Chastain prepares to put the playoff heartbreak behind him, there’s no doubt that with the unwavering support of Justin Marks and the Trackhouse Racing team, he is ready to chase victory once again. The NASCAR world will be watching closely as Chastain revs up for what promises to be an electrifying race at Las Vegas.
