Aston Martin Valkyrie Dominates Hyperpole Qualifying at Le Mans!

In a thrilling turn of events at Le Mans, Aston Martin’s #009 Valkyrie secured a coveted spot in Hyperpole qualifying, marking a significant milestone in the team’s progress. Driver Roman de Angelis expressed his excitement, emphasizing the importance of this achievement at such a prestigious event.

De Angelis stated, “It was a big morale boost to secure a place in Hyperpole at Le Mans. It’s a great sign of progress for the program, although the ultimate goal remains the race itself.” Reflecting on the team’s dedication to race preparation and car performance, he highlighted the unique opportunity to be part of the Hypercar development from the ground up.

Despite finishing 16th in the qualifying session with a lap time of 3:24.869, Aston Martin’s #009 Valkyrie advanced to the Q2 session following the disqualification of a competitor for weight violations. De Angelis acknowledged the challenges of competing against seasoned manufacturers but expressed confidence in Aston Martin’s consistent improvement in both IMSA and WEC competitions.

He commented, “The learning curve is steep, but we are focused on our own job. If we maintain this upward trajectory, I believe we will soon be leading the pack.” The Canadian driver’s optimism and dedication to the team’s success underscore the unwavering commitment to excellence that defines Aston Martin’s racing endeavors.

As the Hyperpole qualifying unfolds and anticipation builds for the main race, Aston Martin’s Valkyrie stands out as a formidable contender, poised to make a lasting impact on the legendary Le Mans circuit. Stay tuned for more updates on this thrilling racing spectacle that showcases innovation, skill, and pure adrenaline on the track.
