The American electric vehicle company, Rivian, is preparing a software update for the R1T and R1S models, set to arrive in October, which promises to bring back one of the most iconic features of the unforgettable black Pontiac Trans Am that starred in the series “Knight Rider”: the red light on the hood.
In a teaser revealed on social media, Rivian shows a short video featuring a character reminiscent of Michael Knight, played by David Hasselhoff in “Knight Rider,” being greeted by the red light that the black Pontiac Trans Am, known as KITT, had on its front hood.
