Ricciardo surpreendido pela distância de Tsunoda apesar de estabelecer a volta mais rápida em 2024.

Daniel Ricciardo, Australian driver for the RB Formula 1 team, expressed his confusion about the difference between him and his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, at the Australian Grand Prix. Despite achieving his best lap of the year, Ricciardo was disappointed to find out that he still couldn’t keep up with Tsunoda’s pace. His fastest lap was disqualified for exceeding track limits, resulting in a starting position of 18th on the grid. Ricciardo admitted that he momentarily forgot about the mistake after completing the lap. He acknowledged that there may have been some improvements on the track, but there are also areas that need to be examined as he has been facing difficulties so far.

However, Ricciardo insists that his search for solutions to his lack of speed does not compare to his difficult period with McLaren before returning to Red Bull. But after overcoming the balance issues he faced with the VCARB01, Ricciardo is eager to analyze the data and understand the difference to his teammate. When asked if he had mixed feelings because the car had potential that he couldn’t fully exploit, Ricciardo replied: “Yes, and that’s why today, okay, the time was deleted. But the lap itself was definitely the best qualifying lap I’ve done this year, and those laps are usually very good. Going into Q2, I don’t think there was much more time to gain. Obviously, you gain a few tenths with track evolution, but six, seven tenths, that’s not possible. In terms of balance and everything else, I feel confident with the car. It’s not like at McLaren, where I was unsure and couldn’t push the car. But yes, there are some corner speeds where I just can’t gain enough speed.” Ricciardo further explained his difficulties, saying: “I feel like I’m pushing the car to its limit, with all four tires sliding. It’s a matter of balance, and I believe I’ve reached the full potential of the car. After Saudi Arabia, the team made several changes and provided me with new parts to address the issues and concerns. It felt better, but I’m still not fully convinced. We are still having more difficulties than we usually do with a car that I’m really satisfied with. It’s not like I’m thinking, ‘Yes, it’s really hard here or there.’ In fact, it’s a pretty nice car to drive. It’s just that the lap time doesn’t reflect that.” While Tsunoda advanced to the pole position battle and will start in eighth, Ricciardo will start from the back of the grid. When asked about his prospects on his home turf tomorrow, he replied: “I don’t know. I haven’t even fully understood where I’ll be starting from. It’s definitely painful. The only thing I can be optimistic about is the incredible local support. I believe it will probably be a two-stop race due to tire wear, which could provide more opportunities if I can be gentle with the tires. I hope other drivers struggle with excessive tire wear and other issues, and we can move up through the pack. But yes, I’m still a little concerned about the current lap time in this car.”

After a long wait, the much-anticipated Formula 1 race finally took place this weekend. Motorsport fans gathered at the racetrack to witness a spectacle of speed and skill from the drivers. Excitement filled the air as the cars raced around the track, battling each corner and overtaking.

The highlight of the race was the Brazilian driver, who surprised everyone with his flawless performance. He started from pole position and didn’t give his opponents a chance. With precise and aggressive driving, he clinched the victory and stood on the top step of the podium.

But not everything went smoothly for the Brazilians. Another driver from the country faced mechanical issues early in the race and had to retire. It was a major disappointment for him and for the fans who were hoping to see him shine on the track.

In addition to the Brazilian drivers, other competitors also stood out. The foreign driver, known for his skill in wet conditions, once again showcased his talent by securing second place. Meanwhile, third place went to the veteran driver, who despite his advanced age, still proves he has a lot to offer in races.

Overall, the race was thrilling and filled with moments of tension and adrenaline. Fans at the racetrack cheered at every overtake and rooted for their favorite drivers. Now, we await the next big motorsport event and hope it will be as exciting as this one.
