Renovado Suzuki Vitara traz mais tecnologia e novo sistema de infoentretenimento

Suzuki has decided to update the Vitara, which will arrive in the European market in the summer, with a redesigned front and a new infotainment system.

The fourth generation of Suzuki’s compact SUV arrived in the market in 2014. The model received its first facelift in 2018, and two years later it gained “mild hybrid” technology and a “full-hybrid” version in 2022.

This time, Suzuki chose to renew the exterior and equip the Vitara with more onboard technology, making the compact SUV even more competitive.

Thus, among the new features of the updated Vitara, the front section stands out with a new bumper, new sharper daytime running lights, and an updated grille and larger central air intake, with a black finish reminiscent of a protective bar.

From the side, there are no major changes, only highlighting the new aerodynamic-shaped wheels and two new exterior colors: Titan Dark Gray Pearl Metallic and Sphere Blue Pearl, which match the Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic roof.

Inside, there is a new infotainment system with a 9” screen, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and equipped with USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity. In addition, it allows remote access to certain vehicle functions via smartphone.

When it comes to driving aids, the updated Vitara now features the Dual Sensor Brake Support II system, Driver Monitoring System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Lane Keeping Assist.

As for the engines, there are no changes and the Vitara continues to offer the 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 129 hp, with the 48-volt system adding an extra 14 hp. This configuration is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox that can send power to the front wheels or to all four wheels (AllGrip Select 4WD).

Furthermore, there is also a hybrid version available with a larger 140-volt lithium-ion battery. The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine produces 101 hp and the single electric motor adds another 33.4 hp. The combined power is 116 hp which is transmitted to the wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Suzuki has already announced that the updated 2024 Vitara will arrive in the European market at the beginning of summer.
