Renovado Porsche Cayenne GTS ganha mais potência

Porsche has renewed the Cayenne GTS, the most exciting version of the German SUV range, which now offers an extra dose of dynamic character.

With a powerful engine and precise tuning, the renewed Cayenne GTS uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine developed by Porsche and produced in Zuffenhausen, which has been revised to deliver a power of 500 hp, an increase of 40 hp compared to its predecessor, and a maximum torque that has increased to 660 Nm, up by 40 Nm.

Porsche has also improved the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission with torque converter, which promises better driving performance due to shorter response and shift times in Sport and Sport Plus modes. This way, the renewed Cayenne GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is 275 km/h.

Available in SUV and Coupé versions, the Cayenne GTS offers a chassis that aims to provide the highest possible dynamism, with 10 mm less ground clearance than other versions and comes standard with adaptive air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). All chassis components and control systems, as well as Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), the latter available as an option, have been specifically designed for road performance.

The GTS’s two-valve shock absorber technology offers improved responsiveness, while the two-chamber air suspension gives the Cayenne GTS high dynamics while ensuring driver comfort. The front axle bearings of the Cayenne GTS are the same as those used in the Cayenne Turbo GT (not available in Europe), allowing for an increase of 0.58 degrees in negative camber compared to other Cayenne versions, enabling more agile cornering and greater driving dynamics.

Esthetically, the renewed Cayenne GTS comes with the Sport Design package as standard, with glossy black elements such as side skirts or wheel arches, a specific front section with larger air intakes, darkened headlights and taillights, and red brake calipers.

The interior of the Cayenne GTS includes the heated GT sports steering wheel as standard, eight-way sports seats with greater lateral support, and Race-Tex finishes that can be found in various areas of the vehicle. The suede-like fabric is used in the headliner, armrests, door panels, and seat centers.

Porsche also offers two alternative interior packages, specific to the GTS, in Carmine Red or Neo Slate Grey, for a more personalized look.

The German brand has already announced that the updated Cayenne GTS is now available for order, with prices starting at €196,041 for the SUV variant, while the Cayenne GTS Coupé starts at €199,588. The first units will arrive in the European market in the summer.
