The Mercedes-Benz decided to update the S-Class to make the model even more appealing, raising the bar in terms of safety and (semi)autonomous driving, as well as comfort.
If on the outside Mercedes decided to limit the novelties to a selection of two new colors: metallic green gray and metallic velvet brown, on the inside the novelties include the addition of headrests for the particularly comfortable front seats, with additional cushions, added to the already extensive standard equipment.
In addition, Mercedes-Benz optimized the MBUX interface, which now features the Ridevu service from Sony Pictures Entertainment that increases the video streaming offering.
The extensive list of driving assistance systems of the Mercedes S-Class has been enhanced with the automatic lane change function, standard, which now offers intelligent development of Level 2 driving assistance systems also in Europe. This new functionality can be used on roads reserved for motor vehicles, for example, with a central separator.
Mercedes has also announced that the renewed S-Class can be personalized using the Manufaktur program, which offers exclusive paint options and numerous interior equipment choices. For the S-Class, there are a total of 12 Manufaktur paints and five color combinations available for the interior.
The German brand revealed that all updates available for the S-Class can be applied to the special armored version of the luxury model, the S 680 Guard 4Matic.
Mercedes-Benz has already announced that the renewed S-Class is now available for ordering in the national market.
